The Patriot Fund

The annual fund, and the shortest distance between a gift and a classroom.

Unrestricted giving that meets the school's greatest current need, in the year it is needed.

Why the fund exists

Anchored in the school's mission

“The mission of Bangor Christian Schools has always been to assist families in educating the whole child by encouraging spiritual maturity and academic excellence in a supportive environment that prepares students for the workforce, higher education and for serving the Lord with their whole hearts.”

The Patriot Fund exists to bridge the gap between what the budget allocates and what the school actually needs to live that mission out — arriving each year and put to work the same year.

Bridging the gap

What the fund covers

Four concrete needs, every year — the difference between the school the budget alone can fund and the school our students actually get.

  • School improvements

The buildings and grounds a growing school depends on, kept ready for the students inside them.

  • Curriculum development

Strong, current materials in every classroom, chosen for both academic excellence and a biblical worldview.

  • Faculty and student technology

The tools teachers teach with and students learn on, kept working and kept current.

  • Scholarships for families

So a family who wants a BCS education for their child is not turned away by cost alone.

The Foundation

A separate entity, built for the long view

The Bangor Christian Schools Foundation was established in 1999 as a separate entity from both the Church and the School. The Patriot Fund operates within that Foundation.

It is not a campaign, and it has no finish line. It is simply the ordinary, faithful support that lets a school do its work well.

Who gives to it

Nearly everyone connected to the school, at whatever level fits their year. There is no minimum and no tier list. Participation is the point.

  • Current parents and grandparents
  • Alumni from every decade since 1970
  • Faculty and staff
  • Crosspoint Church families
  • Neighbors and local businesses

How to give

Monthly giving is the most useful form of support the fund receives. One-time gifts are always welcome too.
