The Patriot Fund
An invitation to partner in a legacy.
Tuition alone cannot sustain this mission, and it was never designed to. Across independent schools, tuition typically covers about 75–85% of the true cost of educating a student (industry benchmark). Everything beyond that is carried by people who believe in the work — alumni, grandparents, parents, and neighbors. Gifts to the Patriot Fund go to work this school year, and they are tax-deductible.
Why support matters here
Tuition covers most of it, not all of it
Independent school tuition generally covers about 75–85% of the true per-student cost (industry benchmark). Gifts close that gap so tuition can stay within reach.
Supporting the school supports its teachers
Christian school teachers typically earn meaningfully less than their public school counterparts. They are here out of calling; giving is how we honor it.
Keeping the door open
Need-based tuition assistance means a hard year for a family does not have to mean a new school for their child.
Planned giving
Ways to give beyond a check.
Many families find that a planned gift lets them do more than they thought possible, often with meaningful tax advantages. Our advancement office will work alongside your attorney or financial advisor — at your pace, with no pressure.
Bequests & estate plans
A line in your will or trust that names Bangor Christian Schools.
Appreciated stock
Gifting securities directly can avoid capital gains while giving their full value.
Real estate
Property gifts, whole or partial, handled carefully with your advisors.
Life insurance
Name the school as a beneficiary, or gift a policy you no longer need.
IRA distributions
Qualified charitable distributions can satisfy required withdrawals.
Memorial & honor gifts
Give in memory of a teacher, a classmate, or a parent who made this possible.
To talk it through, contact the advancement office.
